I have discovered a dangerous combination: a sauce that makes you want to dip absolutely everything into it. Melinda’s Sriracha Ranch has the creamy, cooling side of ranch, but there’s enough garlic and chilli lurking underneath to stop it becoming too polite. The sweetness takes the edge off, while a little black pepper keeps things savoury. I particularly like it with food that has a bit of char on it. Grilled chicken, burgers, fries and wraps all make excellent victims. It also has a rather unfortunate talent for making vegetables disappear, which I consider suspicious but useful. Keep it in the fridge. Keep it near the dinner table. And perhaps don’t hand the bottle to someone you were hoping would leave some for you.
