Pain Is Good Jamaican has a proper island character to it. Habanero brings the heat, while pineapple and citrus give it a bright, fruity edge. The garlic and jerk-style spices add warmth and savoury depth without burying the fruit. I’d happily reach for this with jerk chicken, grilled pork, burgers or a plate of rice and peas. It would also make a rather good companion for anything coming off the BBQ. This has enough fire to get your attention, but there’s plenty going on beyond the burn. That, in my book, is how a hot sauce should behave.
